Kyle T. Peterson
Partner

Kyle Peterson represents clients with complex business issues involving patents and trademarks. He has a broad background and rich experience in intellectual property licensing, client counseling and infringement analysis relating to the retention and transfer of intellectual property assets.

Kyle is responsible for the worldwide trademark portfolios of many of Patterson Thuente's clients. He has extensive experience preparing trademark clearance and availability opinions, preparing and prosecuting domestic and international trademark applications, and conducting trials before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
 
In addition, Kyle represents clients involved in domestic and foreign trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings, and litigates trademark infringement, unfair competition and trademark dilution cases. He is also experienced in Internet law, including Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) actions and domain name acquisitions.

Professional Experience

Before earning his law degree, Kyle worked as an engineer designing precision components for the automotive, medical device and office products industries. His industry experience spans a wide range of disciplines, including materials science, filtration, enology and food science.
