Eric B. Andersland
Patent Attorney
Eric Andersland is an associate with Patterson Thuente. His practice focuses on patent prosecution in the fields of embedded systems, communications, and computer software. Professional Experience Before pursuing a law degree, Eric was a senior software engineer with a small start-up where he developed embedded software for cutting-edge telecommunication equipment. He also spent four years with a large, established telecommunications infrastructure producer, designing and writing low-level software for managing and diagnosing high-reliability systems. Over his six years with these companies, Eric developed deep knowledge of embedded software applications and experienced first-hand the contrasting realities of start-up vs. established companies. This experience helps him better relate to his clients’ needs and assist them in developing IP strategies that will advance their business goals. Early in his career, Eric also gained experience in the development and testing of commercial flight management products.
