Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Daniel spent six years in research and development at a Fortune 100 company, developing products used in photovoltaic modules. He worked on the development of commercialized polymers used in adhesives (polyisobutylene- and acrylic block copolymer-based PSAs) and solar encapsulants. These efforts required expertise in rheological tests such as DSC, DMA, TSA, TSC, peel, shear, and tack, among others. Daniel also performed optical characterization, including spectrophotometry, haze testing and color testing, on materials such as flat-panel Fresnel lenses and solar glass/encapsulant constructions.
