    Daniel Bruzzone is an associate attorney at Patterson Thuente IP. His practice consists of patent drafting and prosecution, performing patentability and clearance searches, and preparing patent invalidity opinions, as well as IP litigation support.

    Before becoming a patent attorney, Daniel spent more than six years in research and development at a Fortune 100 company, developing products used in photovoltaic modules and electret filters. He conducted optical characterization, including spectrophotometry, haze testing and color testing, on materials such as flat-panel Fresnel lenses and solar glass/encapsulant constructions.

    Daniel has been a North Star Lawyer (providing 50+ hours per year of pro bono legal assistance) since 2016, a coach for the Giles S. Rich intellectual property moot court team at Mitchell Hamline School of Law since 2014, and has been an election judge in every Minnesota election since 2009. Outside of work, you might find Daniel at the woodworking shop or volunteering behind the desk of the local tool library.
