Jumi Kassim’s practice focuses on patent prosecution in the areas of medical devices and software. She is a software engineer with experience in developing software systems and applications. She worked for 11 years as a software and systems engineer for Boston Scientic Corporation, developing customized software systems, applications and firmware, as well as evaluating test methodologies. As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Jumi handled security risk assessment and management for remotely accessible medical devices, and developed security and privacy policies in a heavily regulated environment.
In law school, Jumi represented clients in William Mitchell’s intellectual property law clinic and served as editor of Cybaris®, an Intellectual Property Review.
