Patterson Thuente Listed on 2018 IAM Patent 1000
We are proud to be listed among the top patent firms in the world in this year’s IAM Patent 1000 for the sixth year in a row. Patterson Thuente appears in the prestigious publication, published by Globe Business Media Group of London, as one of the world’s leading patent service providers. IAM is acknowledged within the industry as the leading IP business media platform. Patterson Thuente was included in the IAM Patent 1000 2018 publication as a recommended firm for both litigation and prosecution. Four attorneys – Eric Chadwick, Jim Patterson, Brad Pedersen, and Amy Salmela – were also recognized for their individual talents.
What They Had to Say
IAM characterizes Patterson Thuente as “an exceptionally good IP firm.” Delighting in innovation in all its forms, the team feeds off the energy of its clients, but gives a buzz in return, too; dynamic relationships form as a result, which leads to better output in turn. The enthusiastically praised James Patterson “is super involved in the wider legal and IP community and a generous giver of his time and expertise.” When with his patrons, he acts as a high-level strategic advisor and sounding board. Brad Pedersen is also extensively engaged in an extra-curricular capacity and presently sits on the board of the America Intellectual Property Association (AIPLA). Pedersen is equally comfortable chewing the fat with inventors – after all, he is one himself – and giving strategic direction to the C-suite. He leads a patent group which contains “some real superstars” – people like Amy Salmela, a “top notch professional and incredibly smart counselor.” Leading the litigation line is Eric Chadwick, “a commercial and results-oriented advocate who has gone the distance at trial several times, and won – as well as securing many favorable results outside the courthouse.” Further information, quoted from IAM’s official press release, underscores the significance of this honor.
