    Lauren Pierotti is an associate with Patterson Thuente IP and a member of the firm’s patent prosecution and litigation teams. Lauren’s practice focuses on chemical and life sciences patent prosecution, as well as providing support to the firm’s litigation team on IP disputes.

    Prior to becoming an attorney, Lauren was an associate at a national trial and jury consulting firm where she gained extensive experience in case strategy development and jury selection, as well as conducting mock trials, jury trials and bench trials. Her case experience extends into aviation, trademark and trade dress, antitrust, and patent litigation. Lauren has worked on numerous large-scale and high-profile cases, including Continuant vs Avaya, Chloe SAS et. al. vs Sawabeh Information Services et. al., and Carnegie Mellon University vs Marvell Technology Group, which resulted in the second-largest payment in history over technology patents.

     

    Prior to joining Patterson Thuente IP, Lauren worked as a law clerk with the firm, building the skills necessary to become a successful patent attorney. Throughout law school she held several roles including interning for a prominent health insurance company in the data security and privacy department, externing for the Minnesota Department of Human Services where she worked closely with the legal group to support the Minnesota General Counsel’s Office, and serving as a research assistant for Prof. Charles Reid at the University of Thomas School of Law.
